Corpolgia Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Peter Pop as Principal Partner, a significant step in the firm’s ongoing expansion of its senior advisory capabilities across the UAE and international markets.
With his appointment, Dr. Pop will lead major Corpolgia mandates in Strategic Advisory, Governance, Corporate Finance, and long-term institutional decision-making.
Dr. Pop, who holds Master’s degrees in electrical engineering and economics, as well as a doctorate in business administration, is a Swiss banking executive with a distinguished multi-decade career spanning highly complex sectors, such as global banking and advanced technology.
During his years at Swiss Bank Corporation and UBS, Dr. Pop established himself as a senior banking figure. In 1998 he played a key role during one of the most defining moments in Switzerland’s financial history: the merger between Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation — a historic consolidation that reshaped global banking through the creation of UBS AG. His presence and leadership in that defining moment underscores the exceptional caliber he brings to Corpolgia.
Following his banking career, Dr. Pop held strategic roles in major multinational technology companies, deepening his exposure to global markets and large-scale operational ecosystems. He has held senior executive positions in major organizations, including IBM, HCL, and Wipro Technologies, where he led large operational teams and worked across multiple international markets.
Dr. Pop is fluent in English, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, and French. He has worked across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East, combining senior executive roles with strategic advisory work. He has been based in the UAE for several years, serving as CEO of Athena Group and advising organizations across the region, giving him a deep understanding of the UAE’s business and institutional landscape.
